Accessible website experience

Accessibility Statement

How Hermes approaches accessible navigation, forms, content, motion, testing, and requests for an alternative way to use the website.

Commitment

Hermes aims to make public website information, navigation, forms, previews, and contact routes usable by people with different devices, input methods, vision, hearing, motion, and cognitive needs.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing product and content requirement rather than a one-time certification claim.

Current website practices

  • Semantic headings, landmarks, labels, lists, buttons, and links are used wherever practical.
  • Keyboard access, visible focus, skip navigation, responsive layouts, and reduced-motion preferences are supported by the shared website system.
  • Images should include useful alternative text when they communicate information; decorative imagery should not create unnecessary screen-reader noise.
  • Forms use labels, required-field validation, status messages, and local review steps before an explicit handoff.
  • Desktop and mobile browser workflows are tested before production changes are merged.

Known limitations

Third-party destinations, email applications, telephone software, maps, social platforms, embedded services, and files supplied by other organizations may have accessibility behavior outside Hermes control.

Some older pages or complex interactive previews may need further improvement as testing expands. A page should not claim conformance with a particular legal or technical level unless that claim has been independently supported.

Request an alternative format or report a barrier

  • Include the page URL and describe what prevented access or completion.
  • State the device, browser, assistive technology, and preferred alternative format when available.
  • Do not include passwords, account credentials, medical information, payment details, or unrelated sensitive data.
  • Hermes will review practical fixes or an alternative contact route based on the information provided.
