Hermes Logistics · Car Hauling Load Board

Review Car Hauling Loads Before You Commit

Owner-operators and small fleets can review approved active freight when source-gated public records are available, then use separate fictional demo loads to evaluate lane, equipment, deadhead, timing, rate, paperwork, and carrier fit. The live marketplace may show zero records. Customers, shippers, and dealers who need real vehicle transportation can go directly to the production transport-request path. A carrier-access or load request is reviewed separately; submission itself is not a booking.

Source-gated live + demoApproved active records may appear in the live section; fictional examples remain clearly labeled and non-bookable.

Two ways to start

What are you here to do?

Customer requests and carrier freight review are different workflows. Start with the job that matches the reason for visiting.

Customer → Hermes → Carrier

Hermes reviews a transportation request first, then checks authority, insurance, equipment, geography, timing, and actual carrier availability before representing an option as suitable. Submission itself is not a booking.

Live + demo split: the Live marketplace shows only approved, active, unexpired public records returned by the Hermes feed and may show zero. Demo cards below are fictional and non-bookable.

How to evaluate car hauling loads

A load is useful only when the complete operating fit works.

Do not judge an auto-transport load by the posted rate alone. Review the route, empty miles, equipment, timing, source, requirements, documents, payment terms, and the next reload before the carrier approves anything.

  1. 01Lane and deadheadPickup position, delivery market, empty miles, tolls, traffic, and reload options
  2. 02Equipment and unitsOpen, enclosed, hotshot, wedge, multi-car, dimensions, condition, and winch needs
  3. 03Timing and accessReady date, appointments, auction or dealer hours, keys, release status, and loading limits
  4. 04Source and paperworkBroker or dealer review, setup packet, insurance certificate, rate confirmation, BOL, and POD
  5. 05Rate and carrier approvalOffered rate, miles, operating cost, payment terms, risk, and the carrier's final decision

Where can I find car hauling loads? Carriers commonly compare load boards, broker and dealer sources, auctions, repeat shippers, and direct customer opportunities. The Hermes Live marketplace can display approved active records when the source, permission, freshness, and public-visibility gates pass; it may show zero. The fictional examples below remain a separate practice layer for reviewing lane, equipment, deadhead, timing, paperwork, payment terms, and carrier approval.

New authority: load access may be limited by broker rules, authority age, insurance, safety profile, documentation, equipment, and payment requirements. A readiness review does not guarantee that a specific load, lane, rate, or broker will be available.

Need ongoing search, broker communication, paperwork, and back-office support? Review the car hauling dispatch service, the new-authority carrier path, and the car hauler capacity checklist.
