Prepare these details

What helps us route the request.

  • Vehicle and pickup details
  • Delivery location and ready date
  • Operable or inoperable condition
  • Open, enclosed, multi-car, or loading requirements
  • Carrier authority, insurance, equipment, and operating-fit review
  1. 01

    Describe the move

Add the route, vehicle details, quantity, condition, equipment preference, and pickup timing.

  2. 02

    Request qualification

The direct intake checks completeness and identifies release, loading, equipment, capacity, access, or timing questions.

  3. 03

    Carrier review

Before an option is represented as confirmed, available carrier information is checked for identity and operating authority, insurance context, equipment and capacity fit, geography, timing, vehicle condition, access requirements, and the documents needed for the move.

  4. 04

    Confirm the next step

Logistics Sales presents only the information available for review. The authorized customer and motor carrier separately confirm the applicable terms, assignment, pickup requirements, and transportation arrangement.

Choose the operating level

One request, repeat capacity, or managed coordination?

Choose the smallest operating scope that matches the current need. The label starts a review; it does not create capacity, preferred pricing, a carrier assignment, or an ongoing program.

01

One-time transportation request

Use this when one defined vehicle or multi-unit move has a known pickup, delivery, readiness, condition, timing, and contact path. Hermes reviews the request for completeness and operating fit before any carrier option is represented as available.

Prepare one direct transport request with the current move details.
02

Repeat capacity review

Use this when similar moves recur across a lane, facility, auction, dealership, customer-delivery program, or operating region. Each request still requires current route, timing, equipment, release, and capacity review; a prior move does not guarantee future availability or terms.

Mark the intake as repeat or recurring and describe the representative pattern without placing private records in the URL.
03

Managed coordination

Use this when the required scope may include continuing intake, document flow, carrier communication, exception routing, status coordination, and reporting. The actual responsibilities, authority boundaries, service level, fee, ownership, and escalation process must be approved in writing before ongoing work begins.

Request a scope review before assuming a managed program exists.

No mode guarantees carrier capacity, price, pickup or delivery timing, equipment, acceptance, repeat availability, service level, or another commercial outcome. Final responsibilities and terms are confirmed separately.

Common questions

Before you start.

Is a carrier match guaranteed after I submit a request?

No. Submission starts a review for fit and availability; matching depends on route, timing, equipment, release status, and carrier capacity at that moment.

What does the carrier review check?

The review can include the carrier's identity and available operating-authority information, insurance context relevant to the move, equipment and practical capacity, route and schedule fit, vehicle condition, pickup and delivery access, required documents, and the contact path for updates or exceptions. The review uses information available at that time and does not guarantee future availability, performance, safety, delivery timing, or an insurance outcome.

Does carrier review mean the move is already booked?

No. Review does not create a booking or carrier assignment. The authorized customer and motor carrier must separately review and accept the applicable terms and transportation documents before the arrangement is confirmed.

What if my vehicle is inoperable?

State whether it starts, rolls, steers, and brakes. Inoperable units may need a winch, forklift, different access, or other equipment review before routing.

Can I set a target price?

Yes. A target price is optional context for review and discussion, not a guaranteed final rate.

What is the difference between a one-time move, repeat capacity, and managed coordination?

A one-time move covers one defined transportation request. Repeat capacity applies when similar needs recur, but every move still requires current fit and availability review. Managed coordination is a broader ongoing operating scope that may include intake, documents, communication, exceptions, status coordination, and reporting only after responsibilities, authority boundaries, fee, ownership, and escalation rules are approved in writing.

Can a one-time request become a repeat or managed program?

Possibly, after actual operating needs, request quality, route patterns, carrier fit, communication, documents, exception handling, volume, ownership, and commercial scope are reviewed. One completed or submitted request does not automatically create recurring capacity, preferred terms, a managed program, or guaranteed service.

Does choosing a service mode guarantee capacity, price, timing, or carrier assignment?

No. The service mode clarifies the type of operating conversation. Capacity, equipment, carrier acceptance, price, pickup, delivery timing, and repeat availability depend on the current request, route, readiness, market conditions, documents, access, and final confirmation.

Next practical step

Continue with the request that matches your role.

Review the required business and operating information before choosing the direct handoff. No submission guarantees acceptance, carrier capacity, a load, a rate, timing, employment, training, or another commercial outcome.
