Shared Hermes identity
Use one Hermes account across the ecosystem.
If you already have a Hermes Connect session, the Academy uses that same identity. New learners create an identity through the existing Hermes authentication service; no second password store, account database or Academy-only session cookie is created.
Creating a learner account does not approve an Academy application or enroll you in a cohort. Enrollment state is shown separately in the learner dashboard.
